Terra

coffee table

Stone as it was found. The Terra table is quarried from Travertino Romano — its warm ivory surface marked by the natural voids and fossil traces the earth left behind. Not filled, not concealed. A surface that carries geological time.

Travertino Romano

Ancient Stone,
Living Surface

Travertino Romano forms over millennia as mineral-rich spring water deposits layer upon layer of calcium carbonate. The voids and channels that run through each slab are not imperfections — they are the record of that slow, unwitnessed making.

The Architecture
of Weight

A single slab rests on two solid stone legs — no adhesive, no hidden hardware. The weight of the stone holds everything in place, as it has for centuries in the buildings of ancient Rome.

Stone Selection

Shown here in Rosso Levanto. Terra draws its character directly from its stone. The choice of material determines the table entirely — its weight, its warmth, and its geological narrative. Contact us to discuss which stone best suits your commission.

We have answers.

No. The Terra is designed around the integrity of the stone as it was quarried. Voids are left open and unfilled — they are part of the surface character, not a defect to be corrected.

Honed produces a smooth, matte surface that diffuses light evenly. Brushed uses wire brushes to open the stone slightly, giving a more textured, antiqued feel that emphasises the fossils and mineral variation. Both are equally durable.

Yes. We work directly with our Tivoli quarry partners to hand-select slabs. During consultation, you can review photographs of available slabs and choose the void density and veining character that suits your space.

Travertino Romano requires minimal care. We recommend a light sealer every two to three years and wiping spills promptly with a pH-neutral cleaner. We provide a full care guide with every commission.

Yes. While the standard Terra is 130 × 75 × 32 cm, the form is available in custom lengths and widths. Include your preferred dimensions in your inquiry and our team will advise.
