Marble has been carved into vessels for millennia. Deau continues this tradition with a contemporary restraint — the exterior reads as sculpture; the polished interior is sealed to hold water and sustain life. Two purposes, one stone.

Shown here in Rosso Levanto. The Deau is offered in a curated selection of natural stones. Each is hand-chosen for veining continuity from base to rim. The exterior is honed to a soft matte; the interior receives a full polish and water-tight sealant.

Yes. The interior cavity is ground smooth and sealed with a food-safe, invisible stone sealant that prevents water ingress. It is suitable for fresh-cut stems and standing water. We recommend refreshing the sealant annually for prolonged use.
The standard Deau is Ø 16 × H 32 cm. Custom dimensions are available — taller, narrower, or wider proportions can be specified at the time of inquiry. Each commission is made to order from a single block.
Wipe the honed exterior with a damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners. The honed surface will develop a subtle patina over time — this is not wear, it is character. For deep cleaning, use a pH-neutral stone soap.
Every block of marble is unique. We select each piece for veining quality and character, but no two vessels will be identical. We provide slab photography before commencing work so you can approve the specific stone selected for your piece.
