Blocco begins as a single rectangular mass of travertine — then a basin is subtracted. Nothing is added. The form is defined entirely by removal: the precise scoop of the basin, the clean vertical faces, the flat top plane. Every surface bears the honest texture of the stone itself.

Our standard Blocco uses a warm, cross-cut travertine with characteristic pitting. We also offer filled travertine for a smoother surface, or any of our six marble options for a completely different material expression.
The basin well is approximately 120 mm deep — enough to contain water comfortably during use without splashing. The gentle slope toward the centre drain ensures complete, quiet drainage.
Blocco is designed as a freestanding countertop piece, typically resting on a vanity unit or shelf. Given its weight, wall mounting requires substantial structural support — we can advise on reinforcement during consultation.
All Blocco washbasins are sealed with a professional-grade penetrating sealant. The basin interior receives additional treatment. With periodic re-sealing every 12–18 months, staining is not a concern.
