Stone as it was found. The Terra table is quarried from Travertino Romano — its warm ivory surface marked by the natural voids and fossil traces the earth left behind. Not filled, not concealed. A surface that carries geological time.

Travertino Romano forms over millennia as mineral-rich spring water deposits layer upon layer of calcium carbonate. The voids and channels that run through each slab are not imperfections — they are the record of that slow, unwitnessed making. The Terra preserves them intact.
Begin Your Project →A single slab rests on two solid stone legs — no adhesive, no hidden hardware. The weight of the stone holds everything in place, as it has for centuries in the buildings of ancient Rome. Low, wide, and entirely present in a room.

Shown here in Rosso Levanto. While Travertino Romano is the Terra's native material, it is offered across six stone families. Each changes the character of the table entirely — from the fossil warmth of Travertine to the warm veining of Beige Travertine. Stone is hand-selected for void pattern and veining density.

No. The Terra is designed around the integrity of the stone as it was quarried. Voids are left open and unfilled — they are part of the surface character, not a defect to be corrected. If you prefer a filled surface, we can discuss alternatives from our other coffee table designs.
Honed produces a smooth, matte surface that is warm and touchable — it diffuses light evenly and shows the stone's natural colour at full depth. Brushed uses wire brushes across the surface to open the stone slightly, giving a more textured, antiqued feel that emphasises the fossils and mineral variation in Travertino Romano. Both are equally durable.
Yes. Tiba Stone works directly with our Tivoli quarry partners to hand-select slabs for each commission. During your project consultation, you can review photographs of available slabs and choose the void density and veining character that suits your space. No two Terra tables are alike.
Travertino Romano requires minimal care. We recommend a light sealer applied every two to three years, and wiping spills promptly with a soft cloth and pH-neutral cleaner. The brushed and honed finishes are more forgiving than polished surfaces. We provide a full care guide with every commission.
Yes. While the standard Terra is 130 × 75 × 32 cm, the form is available in custom lengths and widths. Height adjustments are also possible within structural limits. Please include your preferred dimensions in your inquiry and our team will advise on feasibility and lead time.
Every Terra is made to order. Begin a conversation about stone selection, void pattern, dimensions, and delivery — we will guide you from quarry to room.
