Punta Due

marble cabinet

Geometry distilled to its sharpest expression. The Punta Due pairs fluted marble with a hand-forged blackened steel frame — two materials in deliberate opposition, unified by the rigour of the cut.

The Fluted Form

Relief Carved from a Single Slab

Each door panel of the Punta Due is hand-carved from a continuous marble slab, the flutes cut perpendicular to the veining so that each ridge catches the light at a different hour. No CNC tooling — every groove is an act of sustained attention.

The Craft

Steel as
Counterpoint

The blackened steel frame is forged, not welded — its joints hand-filed to a tolerance measured in fractions of a millimetre. Where the marble glows warm, the steel recedes into shadow. The tension between the two is the piece.

Stone & Steel

Shown here in Basalt. Shown here in Fendy Grey. The Punta Due is offered in four stone selections, each fluted to the same geometry. The frame is available in blackened steel as standard; brushed gunmetal and aged bronze are offered on request. Stone is hand-selected for veining orientation — the drama depends entirely on how the light moves across it.

Each panel is hand-carved using traditional stonemason tools — the flutes are cut with a tracer chisel and refined by hand, not by CNC. The slight irregularity of the groove walls is intentional; it is what gives the surface its play of light and shadow at different times of day.
