Dining Tables

Eclipse

bespoke circular stone dining table

The circle is the oldest, most democratic of forms — no head of table, no hierarchy of seating. Eclipse renders it in stone, a single disc on a considered base. Every dinner it hosts is an occasion of equals, an evening without edges.

The Form

No Head, No Hierarchy

The circular table has a social intelligence that the rectangle cannot match. Every seat is equal; conversation flows without privileged positions or blind spots. Eclipse takes this form and gives it the material weight it deserves — a full disc of stone, no joins, no interruptions. The table does not just seat people. It gathers them.

The Circle, Perfected

Cutting a perfect circle in stone requires the precision of a jeweller applied at the scale of furniture. The perimeter of Eclipse is ground to exactness — no deviation, no compensation. The veining, which radiates from centre to edge, becomes a kind of map of the stone's geological life. Each Eclipse is, in this sense, a portrait of a single slab.

Stone & Surface

Eclipse is offered in Bianco Carrara, Calacatta, and Nero Marquina. On a circular surface, the radial quality of the veining becomes especially striking — patterns that on a rectangular table would read as directional here become centripetal, drawing the eye inward. Slab selection is conducted in studio, with photographs shared for approval.

You have questions? Contact us

Yes. Eclipse is cut from a single slab — no joins, no seams. The circular form requires a slab large enough to yield the full diameter, which we account for during slab selection. The result is a surface with complete material continuity: one vein, one movement, one piece of stone.

Eclipse is available in standard diameters sized for four to eight place settings, as well as bespoke dimensions for specific room requirements. The circular form means seating capacity is approximately one person per 60cm of circumference — we calculate this with you during the initial consultation to confirm the right size for your space.

The radial quality of veining on a circular surface is something we pay particular attention to. We assess how the veining moves from centre to edge, and share multiple slab options so you can choose the movement that resonates. Centrally dramatic veining creates a focal quality; quieter, more dispersed veining reads as serene. We discuss this in detail with each client.

Eclipse comes standard with a central stone column base — a solid, monolithic form that complements the purity of the disc. For clients who prefer a lighter visual base, a metal pedestal option is available in brushed brass or matte black. Both options are engineered for the weight of the stone top and include levelling feet for uneven floors.
