Dining Tables
bespoke stone dining table
Animo — Italian for spirit, for mind, for the energy that animates a room. This is a dining table with presence: stone chosen for its movement, a form conceived for gathered life. Some pieces simply make the evening feel significant.
The dining table is among the most loaded pieces of furniture a home can hold. It is where families extend, where arguments resolve, where the best evenings happen without intention. Animo was designed to carry that weight without drama — a surface generous enough for all of it, in stone that only improves with time and use.
The name was chosen for the quality the stone itself has — a kind of internal animation, veining that seems to shift as light moves across it through the day. No two Animo tables carry the same movement. Each slab selection is a singular event, photographed and confirmed before cutting begins, so that what arrives is exactly what was chosen.
Animo is offered in Travertino Romano, Calacatta, and Nero Marquina. Each stone brings a different character to the table — literally. Travertino's warm voids and fossil traces give organic depth; Calacatta reads as grand and luminous; Nero Marquina as dramatic and contemplative. All are finished honed as standard, with polished available on request.

Yes. Every Animo is made to order, and bespoke dimensions are available as standard. We work with architects and interior designers to determine the exact proportions required for the space — length, width, and height — before any slab is selected. Extending or narrowing the standard form does not affect the lead time significantly.
A honed finish is our recommendation for dining surfaces — it is more resistant to marking than polished stone and ages gracefully. Wipe spills promptly with a soft cloth, avoid acidic substances such as lemon juice or vinegar, and use trivets under hot dishes. We provide a full stone care guide with every Animo, including resealing guidance for long-term maintenance.
Once your dimensions and stone preference are confirmed, we photograph the available slab sections from our current quarry stock and share them with you for selection. You choose the veining, the movement, the character of the stone that will become your table. We do not cut until selection is approved.
Animo is designed with a solid stone base as standard — a trestle form that allows chairs to seat comfortably at all positions. We also offer brushed brass and matte black metal base options for clients who prefer a mixed-material approach. Base details can be discussed during the initial inquiry.
