The name is French: loved. Aime is a small marble object — not vessel, not table, not sculpture — but something quieter. A presence on a surface. A thing held in the hand. Made to sit beside what matters.
There is a category of object that needs no function to justify itself. Aime belongs to it — placed on a bedside, a dressing table, a ledge near the door. It holds a ring, a note, a moment of pause. The marble gives it weight far beyond its measure: the cold that warms slowly, the surface that registers every light.
Aime was conceived at the scale of the hand — not the room, not the wall. It can be picked up, turned, held against light. The veining that in a larger piece recedes into background becomes, here, a subject in itself: intimate, particular, impossible to replicate. This is the promise of the Compliments Collection — that marble, given over to small objects, gives more of itself, not less.
Aime is offered in Bianco Carrara, Calacatta, and Nero Marquina. At this scale, the stone's character reads with extraordinary intimacy — veining that in a larger piece would be background now sits within centimetres of the eye. Each selection gives Aime a different register: cool and translucent, warm and dramatic, or deeply and silently dark.
